This week I hit 50 videos uploaded to YouTube.

It’s a nice little milestone, not because the number itself is huge, but because of what it represents — turning up consistently, learning along the way, and starting to find a rhythm with it all.

Looking back, I can say that things do start to shift around this point. The process of filming, editing, and publishing isn’t quite as awkward as it was in the early days. I’m more relaxed in front of the camera. I’ve made peace with the imperfections. And I’m starting to enjoy the groove of it all.

Fifty videos also means fifty chances to learn what works. Not just in terms of views or comments, but what feels good to make. What people respond to. What I want to keep exploring.

And here’s the really interesting part — older videos keep working in the background. Someone finds a recent one, then ends up watching a few more. It’s a reminder that we’re not starting from scratch each time. Every bit of effort adds to something that grows over time. The work starts working for you.

But most of all, hitting 50 videos has helped me feel like I’m actually building something. Not just posting. Not just tinkering. Creating a real library of help and encouragement for people learning jazz guitar, especially those starting later in life.

If you’re on your own creative journey — whether it’s learning an instrument, starting a YouTube channel, or picking up a hobby you’ve always wanted to try — just know this: the groove does come. Sometimes slowly. But it comes.

Thanks for being part of the ride.
